A wind resistant and breathable hybrid insulation/mid layer.

This breathable insulation jacket (302g W/M) is made for mountaineering with a mid to high-intensity level. It works great for trail running, ski touring and all kinds of outdoor activities where breathability and warmth when moving is needed.

We use a light nylon stretch as the face fabric because it provides good breathability and wind protection. We use Polartec® Alpha® insulation because we believe it is the world-leading breathable insulation and do not need a lining on the inside. In the hood, part of the sleeve and sides we use Polartec® Power Grid fleece because of its stretch, warmth to weight and durability.

The face fabric is a 20D+30D x 20D stretch 55% recycled nylon/ 37% nylon/ 8% polyurethane fabric (62 g/m2). The Polartec® Alpha® insulation is a 100% recycled polyester (95 g/m2). The Polartec® Power Grid fleece is a 85% recycled polyester/ 15% elastane fabric (166 g/m2) fabric.

Materials:
• Polartec® Power Grid®:The ability to maximize base efficiency through enhanced performance benefits is central to the design of Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric. By constructing a symmetrical grid pattern Polartec were able to not only increase thermal warmth and mechanical wicking capabilities, but actually reduce the overall fabric mass and weight. Benefits of products using the Polartec® Power Grid® are fast drying, great breathability, lightweight and easy care.
• Thermo: “Thermo” is our general term for any synthetic insulation. It gives great thermal insulation to help the body to maintain its temperature, minimizing energy loss. We use synthetic insulation as an alternative to down, as it keeps its functionality even in wet conditions.
• While moisture is the weak point of down, synthetic insulation shows its strength during sweat-inducing activities, when being exposed to rain or under continuous humid conditions. Synthetic insulation provides a very good warmth-to-weightratio and is easy to maintain.
• The number behind Thermo refers to the weight in gr/sqm of the insulation used in the product. The suppliers of our synthetic insulation are Primaloft and Pinneco.
• Recycled Fibers: More than 50% of synthetic fibers in this product is recycled.
• PFC Free DWR: The repellent used on this product is free of fluor carbons. (DWR = Durable Water Repellent)

Le tissu de surface est réalisé en stretch de nylon léger pour une respirabilité optimale et une excellente protection contre le vent. Nous utilisons une isolation Polartec® Alpha, car il s'agit selon nous de la meilleure isolation respirante au monde et qu'elle ne nécessite pas de doublure intérieure. Nous utilisons un tissu polaire Polartec® Power Grid à l'intérieur de la capuche, dans une partie de la manche et sur les côtés, qui apporte élasticité, résistance et un bon rapport chaleur/poids. Le tissu de surface est un stretch 20D+30D x 20D composé à 55 % de nylon recyclé, à 37 % de nylon et à 8 % de polyuréthane (62 g/m2). L'isolation Polartec® Alpha est composée à 100 % de polyester recyclé (95 g/m2). Le tissu polaire Polartec® Power Grid est composé à 85 % de polyester recyclé et à 15 % d'élasthanne (166 g/m2). Nous utilisons une isolation synthétique comme alternative au duvet, car elle conserve ses propriétés même dans des conditions humides. Alors que l'humidité est le point faible du duvet, l'isolation synthétique dévoile ses atouts lors des activités qui induisent la transpiration, lorsqu'elle est exposée à la pluie ou dans des conditions humides continues. L'isolation synthétique offre un très bon rapport chaleur/poids et est facile à entretenir. Le nombre derrière thermo se rapporte au poids de l'isolation utilisée dans le produit en g/m2.
